Solicitor-review note: this refund and cancellation policy was drafted by Claude (AI) from the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, per our documented drafting approach — it is not solicitor-authored. Independent solicitor review is recommended and currently pending; go-live is not blocked on that certification. Questions: support@tradingvigilante.com.

Refund and cancellation policy

This page explains your cancellation and refund rights when you purchase a course, subscription, or other product from Trading Vigilante (operated by VDM Ltd), in line with the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (SI 2013/3134).

Your 14-day cooling-off right

If you are a consumer buying from us in the UK, you have a legal right to cancel most purchases within 14 calendar days, without giving a reason:

  • for a service (e.g. an ongoing subscription or community membership), the 14 days run from the date you enter into the contract;
  • for physical goods, the 14 days run from the day you (or someone you nominate) receive the goods.

To cancel within the cooling-off period, contact support@tradingvigilante.com with your order details. A cancellation notice sent before the 14 days expire is valid even if we receive it a little after the deadline, provided it was sent in time.

Digital content delivered immediately

Some of our products (e.g. an instantly-accessible course) are digital content supplied immediately, rather than a physical good or an ongoing service. For these, the law requires that we do not begin supplying the content until you have given your express consent to immediate delivery and acknowledged that, by doing so, you lose your right to cancel once delivery has started. We will always ask for that consent and acknowledgement clearly at checkout before any such product is delivered — if we ever failed to properly capture it, you would not owe anything for content already supplied to you.

How a refund would be paid

Where you are entitled to cancel and a refund is due, it would be paid within 14 days of us receiving your cancellation notice (or, for physical goods, within 14 days of us receiving the goods back or evidence you have sent them), using the same payment method you used to pay, and at no fee to you, in line with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Outside the statutory cooling-off period

Once the 14-day cooling-off period has passed (or you have validly consented to lose it for immediately-delivered digital content), refunds are at our discretion rather than a statutory entitlement, unless required by other consumer-protection law (for example, if a product is faulty or not as described). Contact support@tradingvigilante.com and we will consider your request.

A note on where this stands today

This page sets out the policy that applies to purchases from Trading Vigilante. Our checkout is currently operated in a controlled, test-only mode while we finish building out the platform — this policy describes the rights you would have on a live purchase, and does not describe any refund that has actually taken place.
